About the Impact CTO

I’m Michael Doody, and I specialise in interim CTO mandates where technology determines enterprise value. Over 25 years I’ve led technology, product, and delivery in FTSE-100, Nasdaq-listed, and PE-backed businesses across Europe, the US, and Asia.

 

When investors or CEOs face critical technology decisions, I step into the CTO seat with full accountability for teams, vendors, budgets, and board reporting, until the permanent leader is in place.

 

I focus on three types of engagement:

 

  • Impact Due Diligence (1–4 weeks): Pre-investment assessments that expose scalability limits, technical debt, and security gaps before they become expensive problems.

  • Impact Integration (3–6 months): Post-deal integration to consolidate platforms, align teams, and capture synergies. Every engagement starts with my 90-Day CTO Playbook: Day 30 urgent fixes, Day 60 roadmap and governance, Day 90 execution cadence visible to the board.

  • Impact Interim CTO (3–12 months): Full interim leadership during succession gaps or transformation. I take accountability for both technology and product delivery, stabilising the function, proving ROI, and handing back a future-ready organisation.
